A real sample section.

This is the actual "Condition Guides at a Glance" section from the Educator CPD & Guide Collection - the quick-reference every other section builds on. Shown here exactly as it reads inside the collection, in full.

One real section from the full collection - not a summary.
Condition Guides at a Glance
ADHD
All key stages
Attention regulation, not attention deficit - can mean hyperfocus on the right task as much as difficulty with the wrong one. Movement, fiddling, or looking away often supports listening rather than showing disengagement.
Dyslexia
All key stages
A difference in processing written language, unconnected to intelligence or effort. Reading age and comprehension age can differ significantly - test understanding separately from reading fluency wherever you can.
Autism
All key stages
Differences in social communication, sensory processing, and a need for predictability. Direct instructions land better than hints; unstructured time (corridors, lunch, transitions) is often harder than lesson time itself.
Dyscalculia
All key stages
A specific difficulty with number sense - not "bad at maths" generally, and often alongside average or strong ability in other subjects. Concrete/visual representations of number help more than repetition of the same method.
Dyspraxia (DCD)
All key stages
Affects motor planning and coordination - handwriting, PE, and organising physical materials are commonly the visible parts, but planning and sequencing multi-step tasks is often the underlying difficulty.
These conditions frequently co-occur, and presentation varies hugely by age and individual. Use these as a starting point for noticing, not a checklist for diagnosing a pupil.
